Back in June, electric kick-scooter startup Bird announced it would be rolling out a new moped-style electric vehicle called the Bird Cruiser. Today, the moped can be spotted around Los Angeles, but under Bird’s Scoot brand and not its own.
The LA-based company which sells software to manage EV charging has raised $12 million in a Series B round led by investors Mitsui & Co. The company has now raised $25 million to date.
Ford doesn’t currently sell any electric vehicles. Yet it announced last Thursday that once it does, it will offer the largest network of EV charging of any automaker across North America.
